ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Billy Wynne is a nationally respected health care policy consultant, commentator, and advocate. As the founder and CEO of the Wynne Health Group, a mission-driven, public interest government relations firm, he has helped our nation’s top health care organizations, foundations, and state governments pursue the goal of expanding access to quality, affordable care.

He is the author of several dozen publications, a frequent commentator on cable news, and is often quoted by leading outlets such as the New York Times and Politico for insight into Federal health care policy and politics.

From 2006 to 2008, Billy served as Health Policy Counsel to the Senate Finance Committee, during which time he authored several key provisions of Medicare law and portions of the health care reform “White Papers” that served as the basis for the Affordable Care Act.

Billy also designed and manages the most comprehensive online aggregator of health policy analysis – Policy Hub – along with its sister service – State Policy Hub.

Billy received a bachelor’s degree in Government from Dartmouth College and a law degree from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia bar associations and serves on the boards of Operation Smile, Chinese Children Adoption International, and 9Health Services.

When he’s not working in Washington, Billy lives in Denver, CO with his wife, Christy, and their children, Eleanor and Lei.
